RURAL SMALL BUSINESS CONFERENCE
Alaska Village Initiatives is a non-profit, membership based company, dedicated to improving the well-being of rural Alaska communities, families and individuals by embracing their cultural values and strengthening their self reliance through training, assistance, advocacy and
economic development.

For the past sixteen years Alaska Village Initiatives has sponsored the Rural Small Business Conference. The purpose of this Conference is to bring together rural businesses and leaders and provide them with networking opportunities, training and technical information. A focal point of the Conference is the Marketplace Tradeshow, which is an excellent opportunity for participants to meet exhibitors and see their showcase of products and services.

"Your Community, Your Business & Your Success" is the theme for this year’s Conference. Seminars may include:

  •  Managing Inventory for Business - Frontier Expeditors

  •  Rural Community Fire Prevention - Alaska Division of Fire & Life Safety

  •  Connecting with Higher Ed-Opportunities through Distance Education - Alaska Pacific University

  •  Rural Financing - Native American Bank

  • Forging Comemrce Links in Rural Alaska - Alaska Manufacturing Extention Partnership

  • Process to 8(a) Contracting - Lithocore, LLC

This Conference is an excellent opportunity to network, receive valuable training and learn about current issues relevant to rural Alaskan. Mark your calendars and join us February 12, 13 & 14, 2008 for the 17th Annual RSBC!
